T.I. Issues Apology For His Not-So-Nice Comments About Women Running For President

T.I.’s Twitter mentions are likely in a state of emergency, as the the rapper has been a trending topic online for comments made about women running for president. In a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, the rapper gave a very candid answer to whether or not he would support Hillary Clinton’s run for the Oval Office in 2016. Needless to say, it wasn’t exactly what the masses expected.
“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”
Immediately following the outpouring of complaints he received for his statement, T.I. took to Twitter to apologize for the statement he made. Calling what he said “unequivocally insensitive and wrong,” the rapper posted this response:
